Hi, I'm Keith Lyon, I'm 31 and a Photographer and Web Developer based in Maghull, Liverpool.
I'm employed by Lyon Solutions Ltd, a web design and development company which has just had it's 5th birthday.
Corporate Photography
At the beginning of 2008 an opportunity came about to do some corporate
photography for one of my web clients, having a very keen interest in photography
and just itching for an excuse to go forward with it full throttle I jumped at
the chance to redesign their website to include HD Video and incredibly high
quality DLSR photographic images of them in action.
The photographs and HD Video's required where of guard dogs, drug dogs and their handlers training in various situations for their work.
After spending 2 full days on location at their training facilities it was clear to me that I have a passion for photography and love to see the world in a creative way. Not to mention, I also ended up with heat stroke and lay up in bed for 2 weeks..... note to self, always bring a hat if your outside for 2 days straight with the sun's heat cracking the pavement.
Equestrian Photography
Since then, I've always had my camera close to hand and always happy to take
any photographic opportunity I can, be it Equestrian Photography (more of my
work from that can be found at
www.SnapsForever.com) which I have been invited to be their sole photographer for
Leyland & District Riding Club
for last season and this forthcoming season, birthday parties for children,
adults and grandparents. In September I had my first wedding photography
shoot.
Wedding photography
Wedding photography was something I have wanted to do, but, to be honest, was
quite apprehensive about. It's a big day, a very special day and one that
the photographer has to do right, first time because once that moment has past,
it's lost forever. Well, Thursday night, 8:30pm I get a phone call asking
if I could be the official photographer at a wedding... that takes place
"tomorrow at 2:30pm" ! Needless to say that's short notice. Still,
no time for nerves to settle in.
Because of the high quality photographs taken previous, I had been recommended to her (the sister of the groom), before then she hadn't heard of me. Well the big day comes and goes, a large number of beautiful photographs were taken, the bride and groom now have their album and DVD of their big day, and I'm now more confident and as experience grows, so does your memories.
